Spiritual and Group Facilitation

While traveling in the unfamiliar surroundings of a third world country, one receives life lessons that are deep and transformative. For this reason, it is helpful to include regular times of group reflection and sharing. Although daily reflection within the group has been a part of the GATE schedule, an additional facilitator has recently been added to GATE to invite deeper sharing, insight, and growth on the part of group members. This is in response to requests on the part of prior participants to enter more spiritually and reflectively into the levels of their experience.

The work of this deeper spiritual facilitation is done by Theresa O’Connor, MSN. With 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist, group facilitator, hospital chaplain, professional coach, and energy therapist, Theresa leads and accompanies GATE participants into a deeper awareness of the “sacred ground” of their personal and shared experiences. GATE is a forerunner in offering this type of spiritual facilitation.
